Community Cat Advocats is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to the welfare of community cats through the use of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return and cat colony management.
We are the only organization in the Winchester, Virginia area that is completely focused on community cats. We are not a rescue group, although we do work local rescue organizations.
Because of our small size, we have a great need for volunteers to help us continue our mission. For most volunteer opportunities no experience is necessary and time commitments are very flexible. We will provide training you may need to help local residents carry on TNVR.
We would be thrilled if you'd be willing to volunteer even a few hours of your time a month!
Our ongoing volunteer opportunities are:
- Provide holding space and care for cats before and after surgery
- Transport cats to and from spay/neuter surgeries
- Trap cats or assist colony caregivers with trapping
- Provide temporary help feeding colonies for caregivers who are ill or out of town.
- Community outreach
