What We Do
Community Cat Advocats is a small, local organizations with limited resources and we must maintain our focus on Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return and the welfare of community cats in the Winchester, Virginia area.
Therefore, our activities are limited to:

Supporting Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return as the best, long-term solution for controlling feral and free-roaming community cat overpopulation because the process stabilizes the population, improves the lives of cats, addresses neighborhood concerns and saves taxpayers money while embracing the principles of a caring community.

Supporting community cat colony caregivers through outreach, education, advocacy and access to low-cost spay/neuter providers and veterinary services.
- Working toward making Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return a program that is fully understood, accepted, supported and practiced in the jurisdictions, animal welfare organizations, businesses and individuals in the Winchester, Virginia area.
Community Cat Advocats does not:

Accept cats for adoption

Relocate cats

Participate in trapping cats for euthanasia unless health conditions warrant the need

Participate in trapping cats for release to animal shelters
- Assist with owned cats.
