About Community Cat Advocats

Community Cat Advocats is the only all-volunteer, non-profit, charitable organization in the Winchester, Virginia area dedicated to the humane, nonlethal reduction of feral and free-roaming (community) cat populations through the practice of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR).

Our Mission is to promote Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR), as the only effective solution for reducing community cat populations, through education, advocacy and colony caregiver support, while working in partnership with area animal welfare organizations and agencies.

Our Vision is that Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return is fully understood, accepted, supported and practiced in the Winchester area by jurisdictions, animal welfare organizations, businesses and individuals.

We believe that the overpopulation of feral and free-roaming community cats in our area is a community problem. It is our belief that community problems require community solutions. Therefore, Community Cat Advocats works in partnership with other animal welfare organizations and agencies and colony caregivers in our area to reduce the numbers of feral and free-roaming community cats with TNVR.
